Careers Week - March 2019

Every year we hold an Industry Week and a Careers Week for our 6th Form students.  This year they are happening w/c 19th November 2018 and w/c 4th March 2019.

These weeks happen at the end of project deadlines and give a fantastic opportunity for students to pause and focus on building their creative networks and determining their future careers whilst reflecting on their own work.  This year we have an amazing range of guest speakers, workshops and activities to get involved in.

We feel these weeks are essential to ensuring students are prepared for the future.  Below is the timetable for Careers Week - taking place from Monday March 4th - Friday March 8th

Across the week:

  • KS4 will do at ‘Careers’ activities during their daily Tutor period (8.45am – 9.00am)
  • KS4 Lessons will run as normal
  • KS5 A Level and GCSE Retake classes will run as normal
  • KS5 Students will book into ten minute Spotlight meetings with their teachers (pre-book)
  • KS5 to use time to complete Feedforward sheet and catch up on any missing work
  • We will be streaming the Springpod broadcasts hosted by Global Academy students featuring top STEM employers from across the UK talking about Apprenticeship roles in their companies.
