‘Global has been an amazing experience for my daughter. She is meeting many different people in the industry and is constantly being pushed to go beyond her comfort zone. We have been very pleased with the school.’

‘Leaders have taken effective action to improve pupils’ progress. They have raised expectations and ensured that behaviour has improved. The quality of teaching, learning and assessment is also improving. These improvements have contributed to pupils in key stage 4 making greater progress than in the past. In the sixth form students make good progress because teaching is effective.’

OFSTED report June 2019

University Technical Colleges such as the Global Academy are very unique and it is recognised that they should not be judged in the same way as mainstreams schools, so it was very pleasing to have the strength of our specialism acknowledged by Ofsted.

‘The vocational curriculum at key stage 4 and in the sixth form is the most distinctive element of the school’s provision. All students have the opportunity to engage with employers in the creative media industry as well as access to a rich and varied range of work-related learning opportunities, particularly in the sixth form.’

OFSTED report June 2019

Much of the Ofsted analysis was based on 2018 results at KS4, we are confident that the work we have completed will see significant improvement in the 2019 summer GCSE results. We will continue with the amazing work that happens in Sixth Form and in particularly continuing to focus on our specialism and our vison.
